Before an estate sale begins the sellers often ‘remove’ items from the house that are sellable and offer variety for a sale. Whether it’s through donations or just plain throwing those accessory items in the trash. Good money is going right out the door.
We all have different interests when we shop at an estate sale or resale store, and VARIETY is the key. The estate sale in this photo had beautiful color glass, vintage pillar candles, Revere sterling spoons, costume jewelry, paintings and prints, and other stunning items - including plenty of general household items that some estates consider junk such as office & cleaning supplies, flowerpots, and books.
If a sale is lopsided with a significant amount of items in only one category it can limit the sale. A sale entirely filled with furniture and no accessories can limit interest and the ability to keep a potential buyer and their friend’s attention.
